THE
FLINT CLAY DEPOSITS IN BULALA, CAPALONGA, CAMARINES NORTE
ZOILO C. ZEPEDA
INTRODUCTION
The flint clay at Bulala is the first of
its kind to be discovered in the country
and is believed to have been deposited
by hydrothermal solutions. X-ray
diffraction analysis of the clay shows
that it is a well crystallized kaolin
which is similar to the commercially
known sedimentary flint clay now being
mined in some parts of the United
States.
