| TWO-DIMENSIONAL SLOPE MODELLING FOR SLOPE AND FOUNDATION DESIGN PURPOSES, CASE HISTORY: ANTIPOLO RIZAL
Gil G. Cardiel, Gabino V. Belleza, Flavinson U. Almiron and Ser Allain G. Pleyto School of Earth and Material Science and Engineering Mapua Institute of Technology
Results of terrain mapping, geotechnical zoning and kinematic admissibility analyses indicate that Antipolo and its vicinity is generally underlain by several slope and terrain units that have varying response to weathering, erosion , slope/foundation movement including static and dynamic loading. Among the slopes/terrain units that have been modeled are the Cherry Hills and Peace Village, Iglesia Quarry, Teresa Limestone, and Glendale Subdivision. Modeling results reveal that a combination of geometrical, geological, geomorphological, hydrogeological, structural and geotechnical features of the slope have significant implications to slope and foundation design. |
